Continuing our series of interviews with Kentucky women, we welcome our amazing friends Grace McKenzie and Heather Dent to share their upcoming children’s book about one of our Kentucky heroes, Michelle Tooley. Michelle was a peace and social justice activist and professor here in Berea. Grace and Heather talk us through the process of bringing the book from a short presentation at a local summer camp to a hardbound story to be shared with children and adults in our community and beyond. On one of the first mornings in spring, we celebrate the life and legacy of Michelle Tooley, who brought so much bright and cleansing light to the world.
