THIS IS THE TRUE STORY OF 2023'S NETFLIX FILM "SOCIETY OF THE SNOW", AS WELL AS THE 1993 MOVIE "ALIVE".

Three years ago, in January 2021, Ash and longtime co-host Cam told the story of the Uruguayan Flight 561 plane crash, which was carrying the Old Christians Club rugby union team.

On Friday, the 13th of October, 1972, a charter plane carrying 45 passengers crashed high in the Andes Mountains. The surviving passengers heard on the radio that after only eight days, the search for them had been called off. Surrounded only by ice, snow and rock, the survivors quickly had to resort to cannibalism to survive. 16 of the 45 passengers would ultimately make it off the mountain 72 days later.
