Just over a month ago, on July 11, 2023, Leslie Van Houten, former "Manson Girl", was granted parole for the sixth and final time. She was denied parole over 20 times, and seemingly granted her freedom five times, only to have them reversed by the California governor. This has been over the last 54 years.

Leslie was 19 at the time of her crime and has spent 54 years in prison for a crime that she committed under the coercive control of arguably the most infamous cult leader of all time, Charles Manson.
