On March 22, 2016, James Meyers, Jr. was pulled over for having a broken tail light and when the police officer ran his license plate he realized there was a warrant out for Meyer’s arrest. The warrant originated in February 2002 and was issued by J&J Video in Salisbury, North Carolina, and charged Meyers with a misdemeanor of failure to return hired property. The property in question was a VHS rental of Freddy Got Fingered, a 2001 comedy that was written, directed, and starred Tom Green.
