Murder of Angela Samota and the story of Seemona Sumasar (criminal or innocent woman framed?)

October 1984, 20-year old Angie Samota was found brutally murdered in her off-campus apartment at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, TX. Police name a suspect early in the investigation, but a lack of evidence turns the case cold. Thanks to advancements in DNA testing over the years, the police get a second chance at catching a cold-blooded killer. Then we cover the twisted story of Seemona Sumasar. She's charged with robbery and impersonating a police officer. While police are happy with closing their case, some aspects of the crime don't add up... leaving us to wonder if Seemona is a criminal? Or an innocent woman framed by her psychopathic ex Jerry Ramrattan .
