Twister is the disaster adventure film which was directed by Jan de Bont from a screenplay by Michael Crichton and Anne-Matie Martin, which stars Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt as storm chasers researching tornadoes.
University professor Dr. Jo Harding (Helen Hunt) and an underfunded team of students try to perfect a data-gathering instrument conceived by her estranged husband, Bill (Bill Paxton), the Dorothy, designed to be released into the funnel of a tornado. All the while they must compete with another better-funded team, led by rival Dr. Jonas Miller (Cary Elwes), with a similar device, as a tornado outbreak approaches across Oklahoma.
February 25th, 2018 marks one year since the legendary Bill Paxton’s death, and we thought it would be quite fitting to take a look back at one of his movies.
