Welterweight Maurice Lee (12-1-2, 5 KOs) has surfaced to low-key announces that he’s signed a contract to fight unified titleholder Errol Spence (26-0, 21 KOs). Now after Spence’s scary car wreck it was probably safe to assume he wasn’t going to jump right back into the deep end, so a tune-up fight against someone like Lee seems pretty reasonable. Lee, of course, doesn’t view himself as a tune-up though.
