The 27 Club is one of the most exclusive and tragic clubs in rock and roll history. The name given to a group of inspirational musicians who passed away at the age of 27 and at the height of their career.
Most famous 27 club "members" died within a two year period from 1969 to 1971 - these musicians are Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison.
The tragedies include drug and alcohol overdoses, freak accidents, and suicides. Some of these deaths occurred under mysterious circumstances which has lead to many conspiracy theories circulating.
As of 2019, there are 71 members of the 27 Club.
