Avi avot – av – rishon – sheni – shelishi – revi’i
Lowest level aka pasul = not contagious but tameh
Some say food does not transmit past rishon
Some say liquid transmits only miderabanan
Liquids touched by sheni become rishon

Mishnah

Rabbi Hanina deputy Kohen Gadol – burn meat sheni with rishon
Rabbi Akiva – burn shelishi with rishon
Application to Terumah
Rabbi Meir – same
Rabbi Yose – burn separately

Rabbi Hanina only 1 step?

Make it shelishi with rishon
But food does not make food impure
