August Holmgren, born 1998 in Denmark, is doing his fifth year at University of San Diego Athletics and is ranked around 800 in the world ATP. A few weeks ago he had the opportunity to play ATP 250 in San Diego and had a couple of amazing days when he got to play Grigor Dimitrov in the first round of the main draw. August has also already represented Denmark in Davis Cup.
In this episode we talk about the experience of playing an ATP event, why its been important for him to play futures during his years in college, his set up in Denmark as junior, the importance of competing internationally in early years and what he learned from all his camps and trips with EuroElite.
