Hock is upset because he doesn't know why exactly they are doing this, much less why they are involving someone he believes is genuinely nice. He wants to make sure everyone makes it out of this okay and doesn’t know if he can protect everyone. 

Annabelle pulls up as Bart is getting a magical read of the area, highlighting the spooky shadow of Vejigante.
