Episode 39: Black Men Run

Black Men Run is an organization that focuses on Brotherhood, Unity and Health and the Vice Chairman of the Boston chapter, Jeff Joseph, is here to open up about all of those principles. Listen as Jeff weighs in on using fitness activities like running to build relationships with adults and youth that live in Greater Boston and beyond and how his life experiences have impacted his sensitivity to people who are actively experiencing trauma. Jeff also opens up about how the murders of Black and Brown folk around the Nation, including George Floyd, has not only affected him personally but also his work. Jeff and Host E. Duke Bennett then share personal anecdotes about their childhood and the influence education and music have had on how they deal with the challenge of being part of a population that at times feels like public enemy #1 to so many; Black Men.
