In today's episode, my guest Whitney Hughes shares her stories from working as a Peace Corps volunteer and in the nonprofit space focusing on equity in education. She shares gems of how she inspired, educated, and empowered young people and how that has formed her current career path. 

Whitney's goal to make sure that her students were informed, inspired, and empowered transformed her own goals and career path. You can tell her passion for equity in education just by the way she speaks on it and her experiences. 

Whitney having studied political science and receiving a certificate in international relations and teaching English as a second language worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in China and later in the field of education for nonprofit centered around working collaboratively with students with topics of  race and equity in education she's currently is receiving her Masters in equity and diversity in education at the University of Nevada let's take a listen to Whitney story
