Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District Manager Corey Torres stopped by the TehachaPod studios to talk about the grant application they are working on to create a new park in Tehachapi. TVRPD is holding several on site presentation of the proposed park and wants the community to participate in the process. The money would be coming from a grant through a statewide bond that passed in California in 2018. Sacramento has nearly $400,000,000 to distribute to the creation of new parks and TVRPD would like to expand the park system with a small 2 acre park to help fill community recreation needs. www.TVRPD.org
