We talk with Officer Tony Bonelli who manages the Code Enforcement duties for the Tehachapi Police Department and A/Lt. Jason Dunham regarding the role of code enforcement in our city. They explain what types of issues are reported and how they handle these issues that are reported. Tony spends a lot of his time educating the community and trying to get voluntary compliance on nuisance issues with both commercial and residential properties. We talk about the "broken window theory" and how it applies to the departments philosophy and the role code enforcement has with reducing crime.
