Lucas was 18 when he joined Teen People magazine's News Team; a diverse corps of young journalists who contributed some of their first bylines to Teen People. He spoke with me from his home in Las Cruces, just two days before the U.S. election in November 2020. He told me about his most memorable interview for Teen People, his collection of Teen People News Team memorabilia, and his thoughts on journalism in a social media age.
