The Cruel Sea / بس يا بحر - the first Kuwaiti feature film from 1972

The film "Bas Ya Bahr / The Cruel Sea" by Khalid Al Siddiq was released in 1972 and is the first feature film made in Kuwait. They talk about the film, why and how it was made, the controversy around it, its reception regionally and globally and its importance to Gulf and Arab film history.
