As a consumer protection agency, Tarion is always looking for ways to better protect consumers, and one way we do this is by working with partners in the industry to address critical issues affecting new home buyers.

Tarion's informal partnerships with organizations such as the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA) and the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) and others that have tackled issues in the industry such as illegal building and radon. The Ontario Building Partnership, a formal commitment between Tarion, the OBOA and the OHBA that will prioritize issues of importance to Ontario’s new home buyers, builders and municipalities.
