Tara will highlight the Rio Grande Valley, its people, and its culture to show a bird’s eye view of what it’s like living in a border community. Tara will sit down with up and coming innovators in the community, exciting business owners, and community activist. She will give an overview, of what’s happening in the border town of Brownsville, Texas. Tara lives on South Padre Island. She will give a unique perspective of a resort community off the coast of South Texas. Tara will share what it is like to live within two cultures, the United States and Mexico.
A few facts about Tara, she has lived in South Texas her entire life, she was born and raised in Corpus Christi and attended the University of Texas in Austin, and went on to get her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She has been a community leader, an elected official both locally and at the state level. She now chooses to not talk about politics, due to the current level of divisiveness in our country. Tara has decided to highlight the fun and positive aspects of life in the Rio Grande Valley.
