We check in once again with Mark Warner of the Vegas Hockey Podcast to take stock of the NHL's first year in Sin City.

Mark has had his boots on the ground around the hockey scene in the desert since before there was a team there. We take this opportunity to ask him about all things Vegas Golden Knights after a miracle run in their first season that saw them fall just short of a Stanley Cup Championship.

Amongst other topics, we asked Mark to tell us when he began to believe this Cinderella team could be for real, how well the franchise managed to grab hold of the city and vice versa, what's the vibe around the arena on a game day, what lessons the Oakland Raiders could learn from the Knights as they approach their move in to Las Vegas, why NHL free agents like Paul Stastny were willing to take a chance on an expansion team so quickly, whether or not the Fleury contract extension was warranted or if it was just a thank you for an amazing season and finally, what's ahead for the team and is there any chance they can repeat their early success in year 2.
