We're thrilled to welcome an Olympian, a World Champion and now a tremendous broadcaster to the show. The Women's Hockey Tournament at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games kicks off on Wednesday night and there's no one better to help get us set for puck drop than Cheryl Pounder.

If you enjoy the show, we'd love it if you could take a moment to support us by leaving a rating on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. It just takes a second but helps us out a great deal.

We kick things off by going back in time about 20 years to ask Cheryl about the legendary Gold Medal Game from the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics where Canada was left shorthanded 11 times by an American referee. The game made news across the country and Cheryl maintains that may have been a turning point for the sport of hockey for women in Canada.

Later on talk turns to Cheryl's transition in to the broadcasting world and how that opportunity presented itself.

And of course, we ask her for a preview of this year's edition of Team Canada heading in to Beijing 2022. Who are the names Canadians will get to know very well throughout the Games? Who has the edge right now to get the call as the starting goaltender? And which team could be the underdog who throws a wrench in to the tournament by changing up the usual order of things?

All this and lots more with a tremendous athlete, a tremendous broadcaster and an even better guest. It's a can't miss episode of Tall Can Audio so make sure you don't miss it.
