Aki Omori is an explorer of movements and living body-mind. She is particularly keen to explore this through the lens of developmental movements. When teaching, she encourages her students to be actively involved in their own enquiries so that they find their own path that is honest and true to themselves.

Her sessions are known for their explorative nature and are fun and light yet profound.
When working with clients, there will be a dialogue first in order to find out what the client is looking for out of a session, then begin weaving the process together with the client. It might be a combination of an on-going dialogue, guided movement practice or following the client’s spontaneous movement, hands on work, grounding & centring practice, meditation, breath work, drawing, writing, studying through anatomy, psycho-educational talk and discussion. A constant attention is given explicit / implicitly to the state of the nervous system throughout.

One yoga student described her “She is poetic, yet grounded. She is experiential yet confident in the benefits of exploring different ‘ways in’ to yoga. She is fluid and inspiring…”

Apart from that, she loves driving, dancing in the park, chopping vegetables with a very good sharp knife!
