Can a doctor be a software developer solving workflow problems while caring for patients?

Josh Case  is an Australian junior doctor and software developer. He helps doctors to code and creates medical apps which benefit the healthcare system. He has a wealth of experience in programming websites, mobile apps, scripts, freelance work and several other areas. Josh is passionate about technology, innovation, global health and entrepreneurship. He is the creator of an app called Rapid Access to Forms (Rapid AF) and the author of Code Blue, an introduction to programming for doctors and medical students. 

As a recent medical graduate, Josh has found himself with a unique skill, and there are not many doctors who are as heavily invested in the software technology world as he is. Josh realised that there was an opportunity for him in this area. He eventually decided to reduce his clinical hours and to delve more into technology.

Rapid AF is a cloud library for paper forms that turns any hospital fax machine into a print-on-demand centre for thousands of hospital paper forms. He even added extensions that allow pre-filling of predictable fields, such as name, date etc.
