Sports can have a way of bringing a lot of different, diverse groups of people together. So can a common belief in God. What does it look like when faith and sports are brought together?

Hosts Jennifer Mauro and Mike Bress are joined this week by Samuel Hardy, Director of Athletics for Camden Catholic High School to discuss this question and learn more about Catholic Athletes for Christ, a nationally recognized organization that serves Catholic athletes in the practice of their faith and shares the Gospel in and through sports. In this wide-ranging and fun conversation, the group discusses Sam’s own sports resume, his role at Camden Catholic, and how he incorporates the Catholic Athletes for Christ pillars into the 22 different boys’ and girls’ sports that are offered at the high school. The group also discussed the impact the program has on their competition, the opposing coaches, and the families in the stands. Finally, Sam also offered some suggestions on how to bring all of the Diocesan schools and their “Cathletes” in the name of God and sports! (which means Mike Bress has another project!).
