The film is written by Derek Kolstad, the writer of the three John Wick movies, and is directed by Ilya Naishuller. The film is extremely similar to John Wick, with one extreme twist in that Bob Odenkirk is able to channel this innate sense of insecurity in order to make it that much more surprising when his character finally throws down. We also discuss the role the John Wick movies and this movie has in the current sub genre of other movies, in relation to modern action movies like Mission Impossible and of course, the Marvel movies.
