Alright people (really gotta come up with a new opening line), we've got one more serious topic that we need to discuss before we get back to the regular movie and TV discussion next week. It's an issue that most people don't think is as serious as last week's, but to me is just as much of an issue. See, here at Talkin' TV, we value quality over quantity. We would take 5 movies and TV shows a year if they were actually great. And so today, we're here to talk about arguably the biggest perpetrator of this new viewing model, Netflix.  The thing that's so baffling about this streaming giant is that the key to their success has really been word of mouth, over saturation of content, and reliance on viral marketing, social media and overall algorithmic recommendation in order to maintain their brand. Some other things we talk about in this episode are what got us into streaming back when it was brand new, how Netflix specifically changed overall viewing when it came to television, how they have been both helpful and harmful to the entertainment industry, as well as what this holds for the future of entertainment viewing at home.
