Sara sits down with long-time multi-fandom author and community organizer MUSEAWAY, where they discuss three of muse’s works in Smallville, Supernatural, and the Alternate Original Series Star Trek fandoms. Topics include:

Muse also waxes poetic over the gift economy of fanfiction, and how fanfiction breaks down traditional publishing industry barriers between authors and the readers who will find and appreciate their contributions to the fandom, and generally the unique joys of fandom. 

We also discuss muse’s fandom community involvement, including the #ficwip, a twitter event that has morphed into a multi-fandom writer’s community.
