The Warm-Up
Jack Gill and Chris Froment present this installment of Hardly Focused! Tech issues prior to recording lead Fro and Jack to discuss misconceptions about the IT field, namely web design. Also discussed are infamous “shock sites” from the turn of the millennium, stemming from a reddit thread Jack found mentioning “Mr. Hands.”
A Curious Case of Stolen Identity
Jack and Fro begin this segment by discussing their Spotify Wrapped for 2021. According to Spotify, Fro spent the year listening to Gojira, while Jack took in a lot of Fleetwood Mac. Elsewhere, Jack brings up a story of a middle-aged woman who stole her daughter’s identity so she could attend college, and date younger men.
Nancy Reagan Had Some Skills
Thanks to the power of the internet, former First Lady Nancy Reagan is now a meme. As one user on Twitter eloquently put it, “Everything I learned about Nancy Reagan today was against my consent.”
