Kendall and Jess discuss the first book in the Shadows and Crowns Series by S.M. Gaither: The Song of the Marked. Death gods and unruly magic? Don't mind if we do! Kendall is very much here for our hot new love interest in this book, and Jess is slowly dying from the slow burn, but loving every second of it. They both love the main character from the start, and they agree that the King-Emperor in this series reminds them a bit of a certain other childish king (*cough* Geoffrey *cough*). This book took them both by surprise and served up two huge twists and a cliffhanger that they are still reeling from.
