Take Your Time: Persona 5 Strikers Episode 8: August 17 - 18

Welcome to Take Your Time, a Persona 5 podcast by Jonathon Dornbush and Tom Marks in which the duo will be playing Persona 5 Strikers in sort of real time, but not quite as in real time as our Persona 5 Royal playthrough.  Tom and Jonathon continue their P5 Strikers podcast series with episode 8, focused on August 17-18, as the Phantom Thieves explore Strikers' fourth Jail in Okinawa.  

After reading some comments and answering Tom's pop quiz question, Tom and Jonathon explore some of the surprising story beats leading up to P5 Strikers' fourth Jail. The duo digs into the clever tone shifts Persona 5's sequel introduces ahead of the Okinawa Jail before breaking down P5 Strikers' unique approach to its fourth Jail. We discuss how Okinawa's Jail differs from the past three jails in Strikers, what story revelations it holds for Sophia, the overarching mysteries of the sequel, and more.  Jonathon and Tom pick apart some important tape recordings the gang hears in the metaverse, talk about how the Okinawa Jail's gameplay does and doesn't put a twist on the Jails so far, and dig into a wonderful Ryuji moment. We also discuss a little about what the gang gets up to after completing the Jail and before they embark on their journey to a new location.
