Take Your Time: Persona 5 Royal Episode 6: Madarame and Midterms

Welcome to Take Your Time, a podcast by Jonathon Dornbush and Tom Marks where the duo will be playing Persona 5 Royal in real time, playing along with P5R's in-game calendar. Join Tom and Jonathon for episode 6 as we begin the Madarame chapter of the beloved JRPG.

We follow the events of the week of P5R during May 10 - 16. Real-life gets in the way of Phantom Thieving as the gang has to contend with midterms, as well as the introduction of a new Royal-specific character, Maruki. Jonathon and Tom discuss how they feel Maruki's introduction is handled, what he represents for the game's messaging, and how taking midterms at Shujin Academy is so much less stressful than in real life.

Of course, the big part of the week, main story-wise, comes toward the end, as the Phantom Thieves meet a new character, Yusuke, who just so happens to be a pupil of Madarame. After hearing the name several times, the gang decides to investigate this new character, but are the Phantom Thieves ready for a new mission? We discuss all that and more!
