Jen and I sat down to go over her wonderful and successful career up to the present day. We discussed her transition from being a lawyer to a full-time travel blogger. She is also an established author. Jen is the founder of 'Jen on a Jet Plane' where her aim is to help people live life on their own terms. This ethos in life also led her to become the founder of; 'People of Puerto Rico,' a non-profit organisation, which aims to help local entrepreneurs establish an online income stream.
I discussed with her why it was important to write and tell your story, and in particular, writing that journey down in a form of a book. That ambition and goal led Jen to become the #1 bestselling author on Amazon with books like, 'The Affordable Flight Guide,' 'The Solo Female Travel Book,' and her recent book which reflects the current climate today, '25 Ways to Work From Home.'
I spoke to her about some of her journeys, including when she set out to complete 12 trips in 12 months before her 30th birthday and why that time was an important part of her life.
That led me to speak to Jen about her past relationships. She was very open about some of her encounters and we spoke about whether travel has had a part to play on perhaps why she hasn't settled down.
Jen is also a two-time Readers' Favorite Award winner, a 3-time TEDx speaker and has been featured by The Washington Post, Huffington Post, ABC News, and most recently, Forbes.
She was a remarkable individual to get to know, and I thoroughly enjoyed our talk. On a personal note, I felt as though I could relate to her journey with mine and I am sure there will be so many others watching and listening in that will feel the exact same way as well. It's funny sometimes how we can all parallel each other's lives.
Jen is definitely heading to the moon. I can't wait to see her achieve more of her goals, as I will be one of her biggest supporters going forward.
