We were joined this week by Labour TD for Dublin Bay North, Party Spokesperson on Education, Enterprise & Trade Aodhán Ó Ríordáin.

Aodhán chats to us about his earliest sporting memories including Italia 90 and the Jack Charlton era.

There was then the 1991 four game saga between Dublin and Meath which ended in agony for Dublin supporters.

We chat about the barren years between 1995-2011 for Dublin GAA and how sweet it was to finally win the All-Ireland once again.

We also chat about local GAA club Scoil Uí Chonaill, soccer in schools, Dublin inner city and women in football.

Aodhán was running a Football Walking Tour from Croke Park to Dalymount Park. Current lockdown restrictions means that they have had to be cancelled. Follow their Twitter page for the latest updates: https://twitter.com/FootballTourDub
