1- The King has come for you to personally experience the manifest presence of God. (v. 14, 18) - The Word Became Flesh. In other words, God became Man. There are three reasons why this affects us personally: 1) So God could dwell with us; 2) So we could personally experience His glory; 3) So we could know Him more.

2- Come to Christ with a humble heart and receive and recount His blessings of grace (v. 15-17) - We need to live like John the Baptist who was satisfied with so little because in living under His call he had so much. We need to live pointing to Jesus in everything we might do.
