Significant time is wasted in meetings. Especially when taking notes. Fathom instead wants you to never take notes on a Zoom call again.

Whether it's using Zoom, Google Meet, or a comparable video conferencing tools, taking notes is tedious. Many time notes aren't referenced because important information is missed or they are written from the perspective of the notetaker.

Transcription services like Otter and Rev have been on the rise the last few years to solve these problems. Arguably, they were still fairly "dumb" by just converting information versus offering intelligent summaries of meetings. Fathom evolves these approaches by offering the ability to add quick highlights with the click of a button. Now people are able to stay more focused on meetings instead of listening and trying to take notes at the same time.

In this episode, I cover some of the pitfalls of meetings today, where Fathom fits in, how it works including integrations with Salesforce and Slack, and alternatives to consider.
