Brianda sits down with make up artist and bonafide city girl Val Reyes. Val tells her story from immigrating to America from Venezuela as a kid, and the trials & tribulations of being an aspiring artist with multiple side hustles to make ends meet. Val is a strong survivor of domestic abuse and sexual violence. She shares how her life has been changed after placing her child for adoption. She is a rockstar of a human and Super Trip Talk is honored to have her come on and tell such moving stories.

If you or anyone you know is a victim of sexual assault, there are resources that may help make things a little easier.

Call 800.656.HOPE (4673) to be connected with a trained staff member from a sexual assault service provider in your area.

The National Sexual Assault Hotline was the nation’s first decentralized hotline, connecting those in need with help in their local communities. It’s made up of a network of independent sexual assault service providers, vetted by RAINN, who answer calls to a single, nationwide hotline number. Since it was first created in 1994, the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) has helped more than 2 million people affected by sexual violence.
