Sandy Tolen is a professor at the University of California School for Communication and Journalism, and has an amazing resume--of reporting for NPR from around the world, writing for numerous national magazines, and is an author, having written "The Lemon Tree" 2006. Now Sandy has a new edition he's written for youth. The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East. This is such an important book for many reasons, one of which is we might find similarities to our lives today, right where we are. It's a great book for all ages, and would be a good for for parents to read to their kids, and discuss.
