How do Asian American directors look at Western and Eastern projects and break down the differences in storytelling style and visual filmmaking? That's why Dinh and I talk about on this week's interview. We also discuss his projects and how they've developed over time and throughout Vietnam, France, and the Untied States. Dinh Thai is an award winning director and is a co-creator on the upcoming Freeform series, AZNBBGL, a coming-of-age story about three Asian American teenagers driven by a desire to break free from generational expectations and carve out their own place in the world, set in the vibrant Vietnamese community of Little Saigon in Southern California’s Orange County.
