What’s up, dudes? Thanks for tuning in to Episode 3: When I Came
Back for the Last Time.

Stripping always comes in seasons--quitting and going back,
quitting and going back. Today’s episode is about the beginning of
my last season of stripping.

I was 30 years old, a wife, mom, and panicking graduate student.
I had my dissertation to complete, the job market wasn’t looking
good, and I had started to lose faith in the academy. No to mention
the frightening looming student loan debt. In this episode, I walk
you through my re-entry into the trap house as an ABD PhD student
with a family at home.

This episode goes out to all the academics out there, who are
freaked out about the field and wondering what to do.
Enjoy!

Truths and insights from my last reentry into
stripping:

A long year alone with a baby can make you forget who you
are
A Groupon special on pole dancing can reawaken some shit
You partner might not find your job so easy to accept
Pole tricks and dance ability don’t mean shit at The Oasis
Goodtime Emporium
Thousands of dollars are made in tiny dark closets
Once you realize you can make $1000 in a night, that knowledge
dogs you, changes you, makes you reconsider everything
