It took ten years of research and writing through some of the toughest times in her life, but journo Helen Pitt's determination was rewarded. She not only completed her book on the machinations of building the Sydney Opera House, simply called "The House", but her work was also recognised with the 2018 Walkley Book Award. Helen is a senior journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald, and credits the skills she learnt there, with being able to see such a monumental project through to fruition.
