Folk singer-songwriter Ernest Aines has been performing on the streets of Melbourne since the early 2000s. After releasing an EP in 2019, Ernest started to record new songs during the 2020 COVID lockdown. His first full album is coming up in 2021. He has won The City of Melbourne online busking competition with his song "Heartwood", as well as being awarded Runner Up in the The Cygnet Folk Festival Song Competition 2020. He has also played at the award-winning online music festival Isol-Aid plus the 2021 International Folk Alliance Sounds Australia Showcase.
