In this episode Sarah and Amanda discuss Major Arcana 9, The Hermit card. This is the card for you if you want to Netflix and chill... with yourself, like, in a spiritual way.
The Hermit corresponds to the number 9, which represents the completion of a cycle. The Hermit appears in your life when you're ready to stop looking outside yourself for answers. You already have all the information you need, you already have the skills, now it's time to consolidate, to tie up loose ends, and to trust that you have the wisdom it takes to pursue your right path.
Despite the fact that the Hermit has a reputation for being somber, in this episode Sarah and Amanda find the joy in this card and can't wait to share all the things they love about it with you.

NOTES FROM THE SHOW:
The Leonard Cohen song you hear in this episode is "Lady Midnight" (snowy road remix).
The pop culture references we wanted to include but didn't (and also those we did) are:
John Muir
Hildegaard Von Bingen
Maroon colonies of people who escaped from enslavement
The Crone: Baba Yaga, Hecate
The Oracle in the Matrix (Neo goes to her, she is mature, she doesn’t sweat his youthful distemper)
In Game Of Thrones - Thoros, the wayward priest of the lord of light, he doesn’t observe religiously, but his magic is effective: "We’re here for a reason. The Lord of Light is keeping Beric alive for a reason. He gave a failed drunk priest the power to bring him back for a reason. We are part of something larger than ourselves."
LadyHawke, the Monk Imperius who helps the protagonist couple break the curse (he had retreated in shame for betraying them, but redeems himself by helping them at great risk to himself)
Amanda's autoresponder
Amazons (warrior women who retreated from the patriarchal world)
