In case you're not familiar, Quality Block Party is an incredible grassroots music festival that takes place in Saint John twice a year. Once in April (this weekend), then again in August.

In this episode, we chat with Abigail Smith, one of the festival's organizers. We talk about everything Quality Block, including the festival's conference component (some really thoughtful and important sessions!), the Show Buddies program and how organizers see the festival's role as a community building. And of course, who is playing, where they're playing and how you can be there.

We also chat about another great music event happening that's also happening this weekend. Our friends The Hammond River Collective are also having their album release show on Saturday. Their album was actually produced by former Strange Grooves guest, Paul Milner! It's going to be such a fun show, so if you're in the area, you gotta check it out. More info on that here.
