In this episode I interviewed Tyler Schwartz, known as Compound Cowboy, about his career as a strength and conditioning coach and his personal battles with mental health after the Military.

Tyler shared his experiences with a suicide attempt, substance abuse, and the critical role of support and communication in overcoming such obstacles.

We discussed the necessity for preparedness in unexpected situations, the significance of de-escalation in self-defence, and the customised training offered at Tyler's compound, including specialised programs for veterans and first responders.

The conversation covered the importance of “controlling the controllables  ” , the role of nutrition and supplements, the financial benefits of wellness, and the human inclination to avoid pain and seek pleasure.

Tyler invites you all to connect with him for support, highlighting his dedication to helping others.

During the show, Tyler also spoke about his wedding, describing it as a pivotal moment that strengthened his resolve to turn his life around.  His wife became his rock, providing unwavering support through his darkest times.

Together, they became a formidable team, complementing each other's strengths and fortifying one another's weaknesses. Their partnership is a testament to the power of love and teamwork in the face of adversity.

Special mention goes out to former guest Ollie Ollerton who he spoke about, acknowledging his contributions to the field and the impact he also makes on individuals facing similar struggles.

Tyler and Ollie both share a common goal: to empower people to overcome their mental and physical challenges and to live their best lives.
