Today I welcome Tim Drake on the podcast. Tim used to run a successful business he sold years ago. For various reason, the sale did not give him enough to live on in comfort for the next thirty or forty years. There was no way he wanted to go into conventional work in an organisation, so he created multiple – independent – income streams.  He founded Think Tanks for Chief Executives, did selective consultancy work, and wrote books on his experiences. His latest book is called ‘Generation Cherry’. It is a toolkit for a generation of people who are looking for a richer and more rewarding life after redundancy or retirement. Indeed, they want to have a second bite of the cherry. So for anyone who took redundancy, is retiring, or is ready to build a new and fulfilling life, his book is highly recommended. You will find a link on the recommendation page on my blog. Tim’s main tip is to create value for others and run a sustainable life and business. He believes that you must be living and constantly trying harder to create something meaningful. He reflects on his upbringing in the 50ies and a charity he used to run helping people in prison to get their life back. A fascinating story about wisdom and re-charging life. Find out more on his website.
