Note: Unlike our regular episodes, this episode is un-bleeped! On this very, very special episode of Stoop Kidz!, the kidz interview Craig Bartlett himself, animator extraordinaire and author of Hey Arnold! In this packed discussion, we dig into Craig’s storied career, unpack the pseudo-autobiographical origins of Arnold and his friends, chat about what the show means to an entire generation, and hear how the man himself feels knowing his labor of love was and continues to be such an indispensable part of our lives. When asked how he managed to make something as "realized" as the show, Craig Bartlett immediately references how lucky he was to have the team he had. While that's no doubt true, if this conversation taught us anything, it's that his team were just as lucky to have him at the helm. Listening to him reflect on his magnum opus, it's easy to see how Arnold! became the show it is: Bartlett's joyful spirit and boundless creativity are just as infectious and inspiring now as they must have been back then. We're so proud to have the privilege to share some of that inspiring creativity with you in this episode. Enjoy listening! If you love the show, we’d love for you to leave a review!
