We had a chance to talk to Ambareen Musa, CEO and founder of Souqalmal.com, which is one of the top 10 most promising UAE startups by Forbes Middle East. Souqalmal.com is a personal finance and insurance aggregator business started in 2012.
It was great to hear her journey in building Souqalmal.com as a sole founder, in a highly regulated industry and across borders, and recently she managed to raise us$ 10 million in Series B funding! She talks to us about what it’s like to be a sole woman founder, how to fundraise and discusses challenges with opening up different markets within the region.
Ambareen is one of the top 50 most influential women in the Arab world for a reason, she is very clear about the direction for the company and is unwavering in her efforts.
