Carl Quintanilla, Jim Cramer and David Faber began the hour by breaking down the big cap tech stocks after the Nasdaq said it would rebalance the NDX to address the benchmark’s overconcentration. Wells Fargo published a note detailing names that could benefit from the changes, highlighting Starbucks, Mondelez and Booking Holdings as potential winners. The anchors then shifted to the PGA Tour-LIV Golf merger, as the Senate held its first hearing on the deal, just a day after former AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson resigned from the PGA Tour board over the merger. Also in the mix: Evercore’s Mark Mahaney named Uber as his new number one big-cap long idea, replacing Meta, and Needham’s Laura Martin said that she believes that Disney will be purchased during the next 3 years.
