This week on the Missouri Woods & Water Podcast, Andy & Nate talk with Mike Unruh about kayak fishing. First, Mike gets into his background and how he started in the outdoors. He also gets into his time in Hawaii and how that helped develop a deep love of fishing for him. Kayak fishing is something that Mike enjoyed right away for several reasons and Mike gets into the benefits of kayak fishing over regular boat fishing. He also gets into all of the tournament options that are right here in Missouri for anyone interested in getting into kayak fishing. He talks about those tournaments and the differences in some of them. We also get into what The Fallen Outdoors is and why it's so special for people like Mike. Mike is a verteran of the US Army and a director for The Fallen Outdoors. This organization is dedicated to getting active and retired men and women of the military involved in hunting and fishing. They have their own MONTH LONG kayak tournaments as well. Our show loves our vets and organizations that help support them so please join us in thanking them for what they've done for all of us.
