The excitement with new Met owner Steve Cohen the thirteen billuion dollar man of the Mets drew great admiration from Mets fans, but as the team faltered through a depleted pitching staff as well as numerous injuries, the Mets  losses piled up and cost the franchise the NL East. With that turn down of course the new Met manager Luis Rojas was tole that the club would not pick up his option and thus released. Was Rojas, a veteran of the minor leagues, let go too soon?
